Zaful - Floral

Hey there lovelies! Is anyone besides me looking forward to the Fall season? I enjoy Summer and all the perks of it (backyard parties, dining al fresco, beach days), but Fall has always been my favorite time of the year. There's just something about wearing scarves, sipping hot cocoa daily, and seeing the leaves change colors that gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling inside.

Another reason I get excited about fall is because the fashion color palette starts to change as well. I'm naturally drawn to earthy colored clothing, so for me, Fall is an excuse to wear earth-tones every day. And although the changing season is still a month away, I've already started incorporating some warm-toned items into my wardrobe.

I added this adorable Floral Linen Shirt Dress to my wardrobe a while ago from Zaful. While browsing their website, I was drawn to the floral pattern and colors in this shirt dress and I instantly knew I could wear it during the Summer with shorts, or during the Fall with tights and boots. Zaful is based in China, and that concerned me because I was worried the clothing wouldn't fit. After reading over their Size and Fit Guides, I decided to order up a size. When I received my goodies, I was very pleased with the quality and fit, especially since their clothing is so inexpensive. Another perk was I was able to watch my package via an international tracking number they sent me and I received it within 10 days.

I enjoyed wearing my linen shirt dress while on vacation in New York. It was super comfy and the fabric was very lightweight and breathable on a muggy summer day. I started off wearing a hat with my hair down, but the New York weather called for an up do. I received so many compliments on my outfit...even from men! I'll definitely be rocking this floral piece in the Fall with some cute tights or skinny jeans and boots.

I'm not certain if they still have the Floral Linen Shirt Dress in stock, however they do have a very similar one.

(Disclosure: My floral linen shirt dress was provided by Zaful. The review and opinions are my own personal thoughts and feelings about this product.)

New Adventures

Hey there lovelies! It has been quite a while since I've checked-in with you all and so much has gone on in my life in the last few months.

First, our son is starting his Senior year of High School and it is really blowing my mind. I'm so incredibly proud of him, but this is all going to be such a bitter sweet school year. I'm trying to wrap my head around the fact that he may be going away to College (nowhere near me) and it's something that I'm truly grappling with. I had a mini break down a few weeks ago just thinking about it. If any of you have been through this recently and have some tips for a semi-normal transition please contact me. We will be empty nester's (insert Home Alone face slap) soon...I just can't! Lol!

Also, a little over a month ago, my business partner and I sold our art business A Toast 2 Artistry. As much as I loved being a part of the sisterhood that we built there, I was becoming flat out exhausted! The farmers' markets that my husband and I own and operate had started to grow in size and locations...from 2 markets to 4 in just over a year and now 2 more in the works! Yikes! Operations for both businesses were becoming quite overwhelming for me, especially with A Toast 2 Artistry being 30 miles away in Downtown Los Angeles. So, I had to make the decision to continue risking my health by pushing myself to the limit or letting something go. After several months of agonizing, feeling slightly off, and constantly complaining about something I had the ability to change, I chose to pray through my decision and I finally decided to move forward with Heritage Farmers Market.

And lastly, through all of the most recent events, I have found solace in flowers. I feel so grounded and at peace when I'm creating floral art. Picking up fresh cut stems and making arrangements has become something I look forward to each Sunday. I even started a hashtag on Instagram called "bedsidepretties" which is the name I've given the weekly arrangement I create for my nightstand. For me, there is just something joyous about waking up in the morning to a beautiful bouquet of flowers next to my bed. My husband has also noticed my recent fondness for flowers and unbeknownst to me, he went out and bought me the most adorable floral cutters, gloves, and matching flower tool bag.

My most recent Bedside Pretties.

I've since purchased several books on flowers, taken some classes and have decided to launch a boutique style flower business at one of our farmer's markets. I'm happy to announce that Bohemian Blooms will be launching in the next few weeks! We will have a web presence and a pop-up shop where you can buy your blooms weekly. I'm sooooooooo excited!

I have a newsletter HERE if you want to stay up to date on when we BLOOM!

I'm really excited about the next chapter of my life and If all goes as I hope, it will be designed just the way I choose with lots of cozy moments, laughter, good wine, flowers, travel, community, and love.

Beverage Brim | The Classy Glass Cover

Hello and happy Monday! I really have NO business taking a break and writing a blog post, because I'm currently inundated with so much work. There has been a lot of growth and changes in both of my businesses (A Toast 2 Artistry & Heritage Farmers Markets) and as a result, I haven't had much time to blog. You've probably noticed the long break between my Anniversary Vacation and Spring Getaway post. But, blogging is something that I've always enjoyed, so I'm attempting to do more of it, especially since it's so relaxing to me.

Today, I decided to pop in and share with my latest obsession, because I just can't stand to see anyone without one of these....The Beverage Brim. These beautifully handcrafted wine/cocktail glass covers are so perfect for so many reasons. I swear, every time I have mine over my glass at a restaurant, someone asks where I got it. Here's a few reasons why I'm crazy about them.

1. They keep critters out of my glass....including people. Lol!

2. They are super chic and look so classy draped over the glass.

3. They come with a draw string bag to make carrying easy.  A girls has to have one in her purse at all times for impromptu cocktails.

4. They are super affordable and great for gifting!

Imagine a girls' night out and you and all of your girlfriends have your cocktail/wine glasses on the table with a Beverage Brim cover over them.....HELLO!!! So fabulous, right?

Whelp, I already own a few because my aunt, Bernice Abram happens to be the fabulous designer. But, if you are interested in ordering, you can do so online at BeverageBrim.com or contact her here for custom orders.

Below is a bit about her journey, and why she started this fabulous company!

ABOUT
...
The Beverage Brim™ is a Handmade in the USA "Classy Glass" cover, carefully designed to keep unwanted objects out and the class of your glass in!  It is the elegant way to accessorize, identify, and protect the contents of your beverage.
THE REASON
...
After personally realizing the daily struggles and stresses of caregiving for a Vietnam Veteran with Dementia/Alzheimer's, a hobby became the most crucial part of my survival.  The benefits of hand-making individualized classy beverage covers became the focal point of my existence and has brought a new sense of meaning, relaxation, tranquility and inspiration!  As a result, each year a portion of the proceeds will be donated to help cure Alzheimer's and support Veterans.
